Episode 150: Stop Doing Your Life Away

There’s something about working hard that can bring so much gratification. It can even be addicting, and that’s what I want to talk to you about in this episode. I’m interrupting my guest speaker series that’s been going on for the past few weeks because this is an important message that can’t wait.

I’m kind of disappointed in our industry. We’re supposed to be leading the way in health, wellness, beauty, etc, but in so many circumstances, we aren’t practicing what we preach. We’re constantly in action, doing our life away.

Throughout our lives, we continuously change in incredible ways, but the things around us often don’t. As we mature, we become less willing to fail and make fun of ourselves because our plate is full. That’s why I want to give you a challenge to become more intentional about the things you’re doing every day, and essentially re-decide on the life you have.

If you could rebuild from a clean slate, what would you do differently? If you had to re-choose which people are in your life, who would you pick first? What are some behaviors you would do more of or stop doing altogether? In your business, what services would you offer and what tone would you set for the people around you?

As business owners, we want to rush to do. Add the systems, build the team, do, do, do. I’m tired just thinking about it. If you had just one year left to live, what would you start or stop doing? The truth is that none of us know how much time we have left, yet we act like it’s infinite. Take a few minutes this week to think about where you’re headed. If your business doesn’t align with the person you are today, you’ll just keep doing, doing, and doing until you have nothing left.
