This is episode one of a new series created to explore developing your proprietary aesthetic method (PAM) in collaboration with Aesthetic Record EMR. Businesses big or small can benefit from a PAM. I was inspired to create a PAM program for business owners when a client shared with me that they were struggling with competition. This client felt usurped by another injection business opening up nearby that was trying to recruit her staff members and offering lower prices.

Creation of your own proprietary aesthetic method will be the antidote to many pain points in your business. It’s an evolution to the infrastructure of your business. Rather than trying to fix individual problems as they arise, this method will allow you to be proactive about them.

If every injector just has an Instagram and a syringe, how will potential clients discern what sets you apart? This is where your PAM comes in. You have your own philosophy, technique, and approach. It’s crucial to be able to communicate that to the outside world, making it clear you are in a category of your own, making you competition-less.

I believe that your business should have its own soul. Define specifically what your long term-care plans will look like, your techniques, and your client journey. Discover what you are incredible at, curate offers you feel passionate about, and build your brand around it. When you niche down, you make yourself an expert. Experts can charge top dollar instead of trying to compete by dropping prices and lowering your profit margin.

With PAM, your service and method become a product that only your business can offer. Your clients will be on a unique journey they cannot find elsewhere, and your distinction will become your reputation, attracting the clients you want directly to you.
