Episode 31: How to Ask for a Pay Raise

Today’s episode #31 goes out to all of you rockstar practice managers and industry employees who are feeling strained in their role… Listen, this is a very polarizing time for high impact employees who are essentially either 1. Working in a less than gratifying environment or 2. Working in a great company but carrying the weight of 3 employees.

I received a call from a client about this very topic so I wanted to bring this to the podcast to share our conversation and my advice for all of you feeling like you are “worthy” of a pay increase in your role.

I share my 3 main tips on areas you really need consider carefully and prepare for before asking for a raise:

  1. Be explicitly clear what you are asking for
  2. Be prepared to showcase how your work has made a direct impact on the health of the business
  3. How will giving you a raise benefit the business?

Become an iconic leader and create change just like my client!

Speaking of Iconic, On December 1 I will be hosting a 5 day bootcamp that will share with you the top 4pillars that have catapulted our clients business growth, if what I’m saying about designing a blueprint that will put more money in your business’s bank account AND in your pockets, if this is resonating with you, you can sign up for free at www.klcconsultants.com/bootcamp.

This is not for everyone. This is a higher level conversation designed exclusively for practices who are ready to make an investment once and for all in shoring up an unbreakable foundation for their business that will stand the test of time.

I hope this episode will help you think about how you articulate your value when you are in position to ask for a raise, and how your solution can be a win-win for the business you serve.
